That is exactly why this weekend, BRANCH Coral Foundation, Porto Mari Sports and Carmabi Education joined forces to organize a coral restoration course for 16 Curacao Carmabi Youth Rangers. The biologists-to-be, learned about coral and marine species and how to clean coral nurseries on site.
Carmabi Youth Rangers are now certified Coral Restorators
First, all youth rangers got an introduction into coral restoration on land before we dove to on site coral nursery. All of them are now certified coral restorators and can help us with future activities.
We had a fantastic day and hope to see the Youth Rangers soon in our next conservation efforts.
